Your bathroom faucet probably sees a lot of use. If you live in an older home and it still is the original faucet, you probably experience some type of issue with it. It might squeak when you open and close it, there could be some leaking, or maybe you just feel like it looks dated. If this is true in your case, the solution is fairly simple. You could replace your faucet. While this task might seem difficult at first, it isnโt actually that complicated.
As always, when working with plumbing, you should first make sure that the water supply lines are shut off, otherwise you can create a huge mess. Once you have done that, you can remove the water supply lines from your old faucet. It might be a little tight underneath your sink where you need to reach up to untighten the nuts that hold them in place.
If there is a lift rod that is attached to the faucet for opening and closing the drain on the sink, you will need to disconnect that as well. After that is removed, you can attach everything to the new faucet and test it out.
